Kids Making Sense

Kids Making Sense

Students collect and analyze real air quality data in real time using portable, hand held sensors. Data collection sessions are saved and uploaded onto an online map. Students can analyze the data and compare their results to others across the country. Lesson plans, materials, sensors, cell phones, and technical support provided to participating schools in Maricopa County at no cost.

Kids Making Sense was originally developed by Sonoma Technology, Inc. The curriculum has been revised by the Maricopa County Air Quality Department to align with current Arizona academic standards.
